Johannesburg - Our client is looking to recruit a Sales Consultant with Digital Signage experience. This candidate will have a keen interest in collaboration technology, enough product knowledge, experience and the certifications to consistently achieve his / her individual sales targets as set out.
The Sales Consultant is expected to establish a good understanding of the companies’ entire value proposition and the astute ability to articulate their features and benefits in a manner that would present a unique value proposition to existing and prospective clients.
The Sales Consultant attends to and continuously remains involved in all aspects of the entire sales cycle, including cold-canvassing, pre-sales site inspections, quote generation, presenting quotations or PowerPoint material to close deals on a national level.
Job Description The Sales Consultant actively seeks out new clients and other sales opportunities to achieve personal sales targets as set out and from time-to-time adjusted by the sales manager The Sales Consultant regularly cold-canvasses for new business and ensures that his / her existing client base is always well looked after, developing a balance of green-fields and brown-fields opportunities The Sales Consultant consults with the client in the role of professional advisor to formulate a preliminary / conceptual solution that accurately and efficiently meets the client’s requirements on an operational and budgetary level.
The Sales Consultant compiles a quotation containing a detailed bill-of-materials associated with the proposed integrated solution and confirms final approval of the solution with the sales manager prior to presenting to the client.
Quotations are to be in-line with the standard layout, accurate in detail and professional in appearance The Sales Consultant is responsible for presenting and explaining quotations and to the client in the form of a professional hard-copy proposal document or PowerPoint presentation The Sales Consultant is responsible for obtaining signed orders and / or official order numbers from clients when closing deals, and provide any other compliance documentation required by the Prosirius logistics department The Sales Consultant is responsible for identifying potential financial and operational areas of risk associated with each bill-of-materials and immediately brings such risk to the attention of the sales manager and logistics department The Sales Consultant is responsible for ensuring that supplier price lists are current and that quoted prices are valid and correct before final approval from the Sales Manager The Sales Consultant is responsible for correctly recording and motivating travel and other sales expense reimbursement claims for timeous submission to the sales manager The Sales Consultant must keep up to date with the latest technology and trends in the marketplace and for immediately bringing these to the attention of the rest of the team especially if they potentially provide a material window of opportunity differentiator.
Requirements : An understanding of the clients’ products and services from a technical and integrated-application point of view and the ability to articulate their features and benefits in a manner that would present a unique value proposition to existing and prospective clients The ability to effectively assess a client’s operational and budgetary requirements and without internal consultation and satisfactorily design a preliminary solution that will satisfy those needs in a reliable, cost efficient and user-friendly manner The ability to effectively consult, communicate and provide expert solutions-advice at C-Level and IT departments The ability to compile PowerPoint, other proposal documentation or reports and present to either the client and / or internal project team members The ability to evaluate a bill-of-materials and identify risk that may result in additional costs, project delays or future dispute with the client.
