A Cape Town based Software Development house, is looking for an experienced developer with practical knowledge of object orientated software design, problem solving, implementation and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively as an individual as well as being a team player.

Qualifications :

Relevant tertiary education

Minimum 2 years of experience working in a corporate development environment

Experience using C#.Net, VB.Net, ASP.Net, SQL Server 2005 / 2008

Experienced in all stages of the software development life cycle from requirements gathering to testing and maintenance

Duties and Responsibilities :

Produce quality code that is well documented, and in accordance with system and technical specifications

Provide realistic estimates for technical documentation and development effort

Investigate on which technologies to use and contribute in design and planning sessions

Perform Unit Tests, and assist in System and User Acceptance Testing

Participate in quality assurance checks / code reviews

Adhere and contribute to technical standards

Work closely with Business / System Analysts, QA Specialists, and Project Managers

Remain up to date with development and technology trends

Assist other members of the systems team where necessary
