OVERALL PURPOSE

Compelling content that is perfectly targeted to our audience is critical to helping us achieve our ambitious growth goals.

We are looking for a passionate, creative and digital savvy Content Specialist to join our Marketing team and help transform how we connect with our audience.

Are you a natural story-teller, the type of person who always finds the right words? Can you absorb information and read between the lines to understand your customer's true needs?

What you'll be doing :

  • Conceptualise, create and manage best in class content that drives lead generation and conversion across on and offline channels
  • Produce and optimise content for a variety of platforms, including;
  • Creative campaign copy
  • Website copy (including SEO landing pages)
  • Social media and blog posts
  • Educational guides
  • Copy for emailers and direct comms
  • Radio ads
  • Conceptualise and write scripts for explainer videos
  • Press releases
  • Create and manage content calendars across relevant channels, e.g. social, blogs, etc.
  • Optimise content based on best practice web standards such as accessibility, usability and search engine optimisation
  • Work with the acquisition and retention marketing functions to produce engaging content that enables the team to meet their challenging growth targets
  • Help define and develop our content strategy; build a deep understanding of our most important customer segments, know how to reach them, measure results and optimise
  • Be the 'voice of the customer'' with regards to all of our customer facing content

  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Relevant diploma / degree in communication, journalism, marketing, advertising, public relations or equivalent
  • At least 5+ years copywriting, content creation and content management experience ideally in a financial services industry
  • Good understanding of content architecture and planning
  • Ability to create quality, engaging and shareable content for different audiences
  • Good understanding of how to plan and produce content to drive SEO performance
  • An appreciation of online writing issues, such as brevity, house style, content structure and organisation
  • Experience leading the development and execution of content strategies to multiple audience segments across multiple channels
  • Experience using WordPress and leading social media platforms
  • Bonus points for :
  • A strong technical understanding of SEO
  • Experience producing video content
  • Experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience using marketing automation and leading email platforms
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
