A historic Wine Estate consisting of numerous venue / events space seeks 3x Event Service Managers to join this busy team.

Purpose of role & Reporting Line : The primary focus of the Events Service Manager is an operational focus to produce events from conception through to completion, providing outstanding customer service and organising memorable events that meet quality expectations across the Estate.

Tasks include but is not limited to : liaising with clients, suppliers & internal departments, procurement, handling of logistics, managing staff, managing operational expenses, risk and presentation of post event reports.

Duties and responsibilities : General Responsible for the planning and smooth execution of conferences, weddings and other events Provide a seamless service in the coordinating and evaluating of all functions and events.

Demonstrate the ability to be a team player Financial and systems knowledge Put the needs and expectations of guests first and prioritize Set up prior to service and adhere to the opening and closing duties.

Ensure all guests are treated as VIPs and provide an outstanding guest experience Adhere to & implement all the policies, procedures, rules and regulations of Boschendal Site Inspections Relationship building with clients & suppliers Timeous response to complaints & reviews with feedback to management & marketing Financial POS ring-ups for every event on the day Dockets for Files & Management Reports posted diligently.

  • Cash-ups & cash handling Stock management (OE & Beverages) Expense management Re-cons & account query assistance to admin team Reduce wastage across the board;
  • driving of responsible usage across all areas Operational Maintenance & Cleanliness of all Events spaces continuously Ensuring all operational equipment is functional & well maintained Inter-departmental comms & function sheets communicated effectively & timeously Staff management & handling HR related issues Implementation & execution of SOPs throughout areas upholding company values Ensuring safety in all areas for guests & staff Post event reporting Logistics Time management & multi-tasking ERS Timesheet management & rostering Leadership & Management Ensure punctuality & appearance of all staff members at all times;
  • correct uniform, appearance & hygiene practices. Conduct daily, monthly & weekly team meetings as well as 1 : 1 meetings to ensure clear communications through the team as well as support for their developmental goals Encourage all team members to be creative, innovative & independent of thought recognising them for the contribution for the success of the department.

    Ensure all employees understand & adhere to company policies, values & culture characteristics. Ensure all employees adhere to company & local rules and policies / regulations relating to fire, food & security safety.

    Other : Maintain strong, professional relationships with relevant representatives from competitors as well as stakeholders within the property To attend training sessions and meetings as and when required To carry out any other reasonable duties & responsibilities as assignedExperience as an Events Manager within a busy environment
