Preferred- Post graduate degree in Finance, Accounting and / or Tax, and / or AuditingEXPERIENCE- Minimum of five years' experience in the SME funding environment, venture capital and / or development finance arenas.

o Number and value of deals approved, committed and disbursed per annum - grow the portfolio in the Northern Cape Provinceo Source quality dealsMaximise Empowerment Dividendo Invest in deals that create jobso Identify and increase the value of investments in companies owned by black womenFinancial, Financial Efficiency and Sustainabilityo Ensure that deals that quality deals are closed and funded to strengthenthe portfolio and maximise returns for the Companyo Minimize the impairments and to ensure that the ratio does not exceedthe organisational ceilingo Maximise the collections ratio (as a percentage of total instalments) fromclients which should be in line or exceed the organisational targe Post Investment : Active Portfolio Management for the Regiono Conduct client site visit in the regiono Present reports on clients to Portfolio Management Committeeo Identify potential challenges and recommend appropriate interventions,including mentorshipo Work with the Post Investment Unit to perform yearly security valuationson the portfolio of investments in the regiono Work with the Post Investment Unit to perform equity valuations whereCompany has invested in shares / equityo Conduct empowerment dividend and complete questionnaires under theguidance of thePost Investmento Collect management accounts and perform analysis thereof and report to Post Investment Manager as part of ongoing portfolio management- Stakeholder and Client Managemento Manage and have meetings with stakeholders, both private and publicsectoro Conduct business development to generate quality deal flow for theCompanyo Manage and deal with enquiries and complaints from clients- Internal Processes and Leadershipo Ensure that the regional office adheres to all the internal processeso Address audit findings and assist the DE in strengthening controlso Lead and manage the regional staff as well as ensure they deliver on their KPA so Manage staff performance for the regionCOMPETENCIES / SKILS Essential- Deal making experience- P Have a working knowledge of SA Corporate law including the Companies Act,- Minimum of five years' experience in the SME funding environment, venturecapital and / or development finance arenas.

  • Sound technical and industry knowledge of the SME environment.- Well-developed business networks and proven ability to generate deal flow.
  • Strong technical and industry knowledge of the BBB-EE financing market including understanding of evolution of BBB-EE financing and BBB-EE Codes of Good Practice.
  • Working knowledge of BBB-EE financing structures, equity investments and mezzanine financing structures.- Some understanding of corporate finance disciplines such as valuation techniques.
  • Working knowledge of financing documents such as sale and purchase agreement and shareholders agreements.- Strong credit and risk analysis skills.
  • Previous experience in managing people / professional teams.- Well-developed presentation, written and verbal communication skills- Strong inter-personal skills.
