Job Description

We are currently looking for a Business Partner to be based in the Cape Town Mill (Epping).

  • You will be responsible for business partnering the Mill Leadership team and providing expertise with regards to day-today business needs.
  • You will provide HR guidance and support to Team Leaders and employees whilst driving the SA People agenda and positively impacting Mill productivity and performance
  • You will assist line managers and employees develop effective focus development plans
  • You will attend to and advise Line Managers and the HR Manager on HR / ER issues identified, with reference to working relationships, wellbeing, engagement and job function while assisting Line Managers in solving these.
  • Facilitate recruitment and selection processes including employee on-boarding process.
  • You will be responsible for the entire process of setting up and coordination of disciplinary and grievance hearings and form partnership with the on-site Unions to ensure prevention of potential issues.
  • You will be actively involved with change management and communication on HR project implementation at the Mill
  • Qualifications and experience

  • HR / Psychology bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years continuous job experience within manufacturing, unionised environment in HR as a generalist.
  • Knowledge of SA employment legislation is essential.
  • Computer Literacy, and Workday experience an added advantage.
