Key Responsibilities :
Analyzes current equipment; identifies areas of inefficiency and needs for improvement; designs and develops instrumentation to meet those needs.
Collaborates with other engineers to develop accurate, efficient equipment and instrumentation in accordance with safety and usability standards and Colgate-Palmolive Expectations.
Designs and tests prototypes of equipment.
Creates basic schematics and simulated models to test designs; modifies designs to meet specifications and budget requirements.
Is responsible for the implementation of new measuring devices and control systems, ensuring devices are correctly installed and properly tested.
Acts as project engineer for design, prototype fabrication, and manufacturing development.
Drafts and presents formal technical documents, reports, and testing results to the Engineering Manager for approval.
Drafts technical manuals for instrumentation.
Provides training related to devices to employees and / or customers.
Managing Production :
Proactively apply skills and knowledge to consistently manufacture products to CP standards.
Collaborates with others in the team to achieve plant objectives.
Understands technical processes in the factory.
Manage staff, materials, and equipment to meet performance goals.
Understands the individual components and interfacing of major components and systems of equipment.
Ensures that equipment and processes are capable of meeting production schedules, customer demands, and Quality and Microbiology targets.
Understand impact of Quality, and EHS standards on overall performance.
Models safe behavior.
Uses SAP data to understand status of production plan.
Is able to correctly estimate time to repair and time to complete maintenance activities.
Is able to quickly diagnose equipment problems to identify root cause.
Managing Materials and Services :
Is able to determine material planning needs for maintenance activity schedule / condition.
Is able to translate historical performance and maintenance information into accurate parts inventory levels.
Continuous Improvement :
Uses data and information to develop / modify preventive maintenance schedules and identify potential improvements related to equipment.
Understands and applies the Asset Effectiveness Model.
Participates in Continuous Improvement activities to improve line performance.
Cross-Organizational Collaboration :
Sees oneself as a business team member rather than as an individual in a Supply Chain function.

Required Qualifications :
