CORE PURPOSE OF JOB
To teach Leadership & Management and Social Sciences at undergraduate and post graduate level. To contribute to Faculty administration as required.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Facilitate the learning processes in the Faculty
Conduct, publish and promote research
Participate in academic engagement
Participate in faculty administration
Facilitation of learning
Facilitation of teaching students how to teach Leadership & Management at undergraduate and post graduate studies.
Facilitation of teaching students how to teach Social Sciences at undergraduate and post graduate studies.
A sound knowledge of strategies for assessing learning in Leadership & Management
A sound knowledge of strategies for assessing learning in Social Sciences
Ability to adapt Leadership & Management teaching to the diversity of interests and aptitudes of students
Ability to adapt Social Sciences teaching to the diversity of interests and aptitudes of students
Ability to develop teaching materials in Leadership & Management, and in Social Sciences
Active presentation of research papers at conferences
Conducting scholarly work with an increasing focus on Africanisation and decolonization of Leadership & Management and Social Sciences
Possession of academic qualifications in Leadership and Management as well as Social Sciences
Experience in teaching Social Sciences at school level
A sound disciplinary and content knowledge in Social Sciences
Senior Lecturer :
PHD degree in Education or equivalent for Senior Lecturer
Experience (1-5 years) in teaching Leadership and Management as well as Social Sciences at university level will be an added advantage
Experience in supervising or co-supervising students at post graduate level for Senior Lecturer
Proven research record for Senior Lecturer
M Ed or equivalent for Lecturer
Experience (2+ years) in teaching Leadership and Management as well as Social Sciences at university level will be an added advantage
