Job Description

  • Generate, process and retain accurate records of training material, training bookings, training completed and results as per audit and business requirements.
  • Assess, plan, obtain approval and deliver development interventions that are aligned to the business strategy.
  • Facilitate learning and provide support to learners, coaches and mentors
  • Advise division of updates recommended on Criterion Reference Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Liaise formally and informally with relevant managers and supervisors to obtain buy in and support for interventions, as well as efficient use of all resources.
  • Assess learners to ensure readiness for final assessments, then book and facilitate final assessments.
  • Guide apprentices through off and on the job components and ensure they are linked to coaches at all times during on the job training.
  • Report on interventions, assessments and plans as required by the business.
  • Upload all interventions conducted under your control on the relevant IMS
  • Provide relevant documentation to the Divisional training center for Canmaker competence, assessments required, classroom training required and Provide input to and monitor roll out of the Skills Development Plan
  • Assist in compiling Annual Training Report
  • Apply Foundation Practices to optimize efficiencies and drive down waste.
  • Ensue apprentices logbooks are up to date as required for Tranche submissions
  • Job Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Mechanical N3
  • Qualified Artisan
  • Training / Learning & Development Qualification
  • 5 years’ experience in Technical training
  • Learning Management Systems experience
  • Ability to function well under pressure and exercise own initiative.
  • Computer literacy in general Microsoft Office packages.
  • Leadership skills
