Job Number Job Type Permanent Job Title Warehouse Manager Computer Skills MS Excel,MS Office Industry Logistics and Supply Chain City Ekurhuleni (East Rand) Province Gauteng Job Description Job Function : The incumbent will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the warehouse function within the Distribution Centre effectively and efficiently.

Key performance areas : Finance : Provide input for respective site for budget preparation. Manage all cost in line with budget.

Monitor costs by analysing cost allocations; identifying discrepancies and implementing cost saving strategies. Ensure all costs (expenses) are allocated and provided for in the month it occurred.

Fully manage and control petty cash (adhere to submission guidelines). Ensure all additional cost incurred are approved by the client.

Operational : Ensure sufficient resources are in place to achieve daily targets for Warehouse. Ensure that all applicable standard operating procedure are followed.

Ensure that all agreed KPI targets and operations requirements are achieved. Ensure SLA conditions are met. Range : Examples of SLA conditions include, but are not limited to : 1.

Warehouse productivity2. Picking and checking accuracy3. Picking deviations.4. Warehouse throughput5. Timekeeping and overtime control.

6. Cage book outs are completed timeously and accurately.7. Communication and feedback.Warehouse productivity reporting needs to be accurate, complete and distributed to the respective stakeholders.

Ensure that picking productivity is effectively measured and managed. Enforce disciplinary measures against individuals who continuously transgress.

Effectively manage stock within the depot.HSSE / Risk Management : Manage HSSE / Risk in accordance with protocols to ensure compliance at all times.

Attend HSSE meetings (Monthly). Incident management - qualitative reporting and meaningful counter measures. Warehouse HSSE compliance (First aider, evacuation marshal, fire fighter etc.

Oversee incident investigations.Human Resource management : Ensure all staff files are up to date (Job description, ID, contact details, medicals, training etc.

Ensure that employees attend relevant training programs and all training is up to date. Regular performance appraisals for direct reports monthly.

Manage discipline in area of responsibility ensuring policies and procedures are followed at all times. Give input into the recruitment and selection of staff members.

Customer - Service Performance : Prepare KPI report and present performance for respective sites. Achieve contractual requirements (customer KPI's).

  • Ensure SLAs are adhered to and where there is gaps corrective actions are implemented to close the gaps. Ensure continuous client interaction;
  • communication and feedback including minutes of meetings. Handle customer complaints and daily query resolution.Asset and Depot Management : Monthly review and sign off Asset register.

    Responsible for asset transfer and asset take on disposal documentation.. Oversee housekeeping to ensure the depot is always kept clean and safe.

    Ensure that all SHEQ and legislative requirements are always adhered to and take the necessary corrective action when needed.

    Technical : Ensure standard minimum company and legal requirements are affected on all machinery before operation. Scheduling of MHE servicing.

    Ensure pre and post inspections and requisite fault reporting are conducted daily. Supply of PO's before job commences and obtain the necessary approvals.

    Ensure that all MHE meets the respective standards in line with company policy
