Position : ONLINE ASSESSMENT FACULTY ADVISOR (12 month fixed period contract). The Academic Development Unit (ADU) in the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment invites suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the Academic Online Assessment Faculty Advisor position.
The appointment will be an externally funded appointment for 12 months only.Brief DescriptionThe ADU is a faculty support resource tasked with improving throughput and student retention through academic, eco-social and, where possible, psycho-social structures and programs.
With the move to emergency online teaching and learning, there is a need to offer support to academic staff who have to develop reliable, fair, flexible and valid assessments across the whole Faculty that will work equitably within the current national and global context.
The Online Assessment Faculty Advisor will collaborate with the 7 EBE Schools and other units running assessments for the Faculty and staff across the Faculty to establish structures for the implementation of high-quality and pedagogically sound assessments.
The Online Assessment Faculty Advisor will organise and run online workshops, have one-on-one consultations (face-to-face and online) and develop appropriate online assessment resources for staff according to the needs within the Faculty.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE : -A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in the field of curriculum development, (e.g. educational technology, instructional design, computer-integrated education) or other relevant discipline.
