  • KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER Monogastrics, Ruminants & In-Feeds Mpumalanga / Limpopo(EMPLOYMENT EQUITY PREFERABLE)Position Description : The role of the Key Account Manager is to develop Elancos brand within the Monogastrics and In-feed agricultural sector, to grow market share and to service all customer accounts, within a designated territory;
  • specified business plan deliverables are to be achieved. This is to be achieved through developing relationships, leveraging internal and external partnerships, delivering mutual value, and differentiating Elanco as a brand.

    Functions, Duties, Tasks : Deliver Profit Plan through selling the full portfolio of the Monogastic product portfolio of (Vaccines, In-feed premixes and enzymes)Deliver strong support to the Strategic Account Manager by managing the regional branches of the Strategic account, ensuring constant feedbackThrough teamwork, and the exemplary use of Customer Value selling skills, demonstrate the Elanco brand, by setting expectations and delivering value for both organisations (Customer and Elanco)Identify, coordinate, assist and execute value added projects linked to customer needs.

    Ensuring value creation and delivery to the CustomerProspecting for, and developing new customers within the designated territoryCoordinating support functions (Elanco Knowledge Solutions, Marketing, Technical & Training etc.

    and ensuring roles and expectations are clearly defined.Responsible for developing, updating and communicating Customer account plans and scorecards, within his / her control.

  • Responsible for regular feedback to Customer on status of targets set in the account plans with regular reviews, both of past customer performance and future expectationsCompleting, according to company policy, full CRM reporting requirementsManaging product portfolio, launches, pricing and promotional activity in the accountsManaging product forecasting projections for territory, to optimize Elanco procurement and stock levels, and to ensure availability to meet customer requirements;
  • providing related communication prior to S&OP meeting and to the customerThe Key Account owner needs to hold themselves and others to account and have influence without having direct line responsibilityMinimum Qualification (education, experience and / or training, required certifications) : Bachelors degree / or Diploma preference for Agricultural, Life Science and Veterinary ScienceExperience of Biology / Animal Health / or similarA proven track record in sales and or / account management in sales within the Animal Health sector (Preferably Poultry, Swine and In-feeds) will be an advantageAdditional Preferences : Ability to answer on-label technical queries from vets and producers, conducting diagnostic work as well as running any pharmacovigilance investigations.

    Ability to display leadership, delegation and pulling together of resources where appropriate.The ability to engage with and influence external stakeholders from farm managers and agricultural staff to commercial decision makers and Veterinary Surgeons.

    Excellent communication skills : verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal (English)Organisational skills and time management skillsComputer literate high level to include data entry and analytical skillsFull South African driving license
