My client is seeking an Application Support Specialist to provide technical support in the organisations learning management system (LMS).
This position is responsible for the support, design, development, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of content, assets, and other resources used for instructional functions.
Key Performance areasCourseware development Play an active role in eLearning course development and upkeep.Design, create and maintain course content.
Create content videos.Compress videos and upload videos and other materials. Engage and Collaborate With Subject Matter Experts Advise on layout, resources and course activities as well as timelines.
Maintain Accurate RecordsEvaluate all the LMS metrics and interpret the data.Maintain the User-Base.Add and enrol New Users manually as well as bulk uploading.
Suspend or Delete inactive Users accounts.Edit User accounts.Creating of and managing Cohorts and Groups.Provide Technical SupportInstruct online learners on how to access learning materials when they lack the necessary technical skills and provide system support Review and Revise eLearning ContentResponsible for creating the eLearning content and doing the final edits.
Review and revise any last-minute errors that diminish the quality of the eLearning course before that content is deployed to the audience.
Update old courses. Maintain the Learning Management SystemOrganise with hosting company for system upgrade and maximize functionality by uploading new contentTroubleshoot when it comes to User Interface issues, navigability challenges, and any other obstacles related to the system.
Develop resources to help others master the platformAssign Roles to Corporate LearnersDefine user roles.IT SupportCo-ordinate IT activitiesProvide 2nd Line support to Super users and end users in line with SLA objectivesCommunicate status / progress and issues to business management, end-usersProvide guidance and education to end users during implementation phase of new systems and packages / modules ReportingReport regularly on progress.
