This flagship private hospital situated in Southern Suburbs is seeking a Medical Unit Manager to manage their Medical Ward.
Key Responsibilities :
Effective role model leadership according to the standards of the hospital
Staff planning- staffing requirements for next 24 hours daily including the management of sessional staff
Delegate staff for the optimum functioning of the unit.
HR management of staff according to the Basic Conditions of Employment, the Hospital Conditions of Employ and the Disciplinary Code
Evaluation, intervention and resolution of patient complaints and queries.
Immediate reporting on all incidents inclusive of root cause analysis, intervention and outcome.
Identify and minimize medico legal risks.
Evaluate clinical expertise and knowledge of staff.
Implement and monitor induction of employees to unit
Cost effective management of the unit financial budget including stock management
