Senior Business Analyst : Large, High Risk and Complex Banking Projects : FTC : Johannesburg

The call is for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to accept responsibility for a set of tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison amongst stakeholders to understand the problems, opportunities, needs, structure, policies, and operations of the organization on large, high risk and complex projects

To recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals to illicit and analyst the actual needs of the stakeholders, facilitate communication between organizational units and play a central role in aligning the needs of business units with the capabilities delivered by Information Technology and may serve as a translator between these groups

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with stakeholders by managing conflict, agreeing on task and project requirements, and remaining impartial in requirements discussions
  • Facilitate requirements workshop, maintain group focus, and leads discussions towards stated goals
  • Define the business objectives and process requirements. Build, sustain and leverage relationships with persons within and outside of immediate responsibility when gathering, validating, and approving requirements
  • Manage client and stakeholder expectations
  • Deliver systems, products, and projects by applying the standard company BA methodology
  • Deliver project results cost effectively on time and within risk parameters
  • Ensure improved results
  • Plan and monitor business analysis activities, communication approach, requirements management, and analysis performance
  • Conduct and document requirements elicitation through the application of brainstorming, prototyping
  • Ensure work is completed, prepare business cases, justify investment for business initiative, comply with risk standards and monitoring and take correcting if necessary
  • Delivered required output by ensuring work obstacles and problems are managed effectively
  • Assess and validate the achievement of the business strategy, objectives, and values
  • Ensure knowledge management by sharing knowledge and industry trends with the team
  • Obtain buy in for developing new and / or enhanced processes that will improve the functioning of stakeholder’s businesses
  • Ensure, promote, and contribute to the organizations BA Centre of Excellence in defining the BA practices for the organization
  • Minimum requirements needed :

  • Matric
  • Preferred : relevant qualification in BA from one of the IIBA endorsed education providers
  • Preferred : Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience to include :
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Complete reports and achieved budgets
  • Designed workforce planning solution
  • Developed and implemented communications strategy
  • Manage internal process
  • Manage transformation and innovation
  • Manage process results + relationships + team
  • Support transformation, change and continue improvements
  • 6 10 years working experienced (business or IT) in analysis roles
  • 4 years practical experience of the BA discipline
  • Technical Knowledge :
