This financial services business is recruiting for a Financial Manager : Group Financial Reporting in the Group Accounting Team.
The successful candidate will be able to work under limited supervision. You will be responsible for moderately complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements in a branch or division of an organisation.
You will report financial results on a monthly basis to management to enable appraisal of the branch, department or division's actual performance against target.
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor of Commerce : Accounting with 5 years’ experience in financial accounting Interpreting legislation with regard to VAT and Income Tax International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
TAX legislation. Responsibilities include : Ensure that month end reporting is consolidated and updated with the necessary commentary on all areas within the Group Office.
Monthly reconciliations are to be reviewed and necessary action taken. Detailed planning, co-ordination as well as the consolidation of the entire annual budget process across the Group Office.
Be responsible for the financial reporting in the Foundation in terms of the Annual Financial Statements, Tax and VAT returns.
Ensure that approval of payments is within the terms and conditions of all Group Office contracts, per the contact register.
Ensure that policies remain updated and relevant in the Group Office. Provide assistance and support with year-end and Audit.
