Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Business Partner is accountable to provide HR functional support and expertise to align the Human Resources strategy and goals with the Companys strategic business objectives and goalsPosition Accountabilities : Onboarding / Induction ProcessOrganizational development and talent managementRecruitment and selectionSkills Development & Employment EquityEmployee and Industrial RelationsPerformance ManagementRemuneration and BenefitsBBBEECorporate Culture and Employee WellnessHR AdministrationRole Accountabilities : Demonstrate behaviors in line with the company's core ValuesEnsure full compliance of the Group and local safety standards, policies and proceduresReport risks and opportunities for improvement related to dutiesPosition Responsibilities : Assist the HR Manager with the implementation of all human resources strategies and objectivesRecruitment and selection of all positions (salaried and wages)Assist the HR Manager with the implementation of talent management, succession planning, I-Engage surveys, job grading, employee wellness initiatives and all HR related projectsAssist with the review of the company policies and procedures on a regular basisPromote workplace safety and participate in the H&S CommitteeProvide efficient and accurate HR administration service to all departmentsDevelop and maintain job descriptions for all employeesComplete letters of appointment and contracts for all employeesFacilitate induction / onboarding for all new recruitsEnsure that salaries are benchmarked Ensure all exit interviews are conducted and reported on a monthly basisIdentify training and development opportunitiesRegistered Skills Development Facilitator for the CompanyComplete and submit Mandatory Skills Development reports to the MersetaEnsure that training is booked in accordance with WSP and Pivotal PlansCoordinates / monitors all training activitiesParticipate in the activities of the Training CommitteeHR Representative for the EE & SD Committee MeetingImplement and maintain record keeping systems for all internal and external trainingEnsure that EE targets and goals as per the EE plan are achieved through recruitment and promotions for your departments.

  • Implement and maintain record keeping systems for annual Employment Equity reporting to Dept. of LaborMaintain record keeping systems for BBBEEIdentify opportunities to promote equality, diversity and employee wellnessAdvise / guide management and staff on labor legislation / mattersProvide advice and recommendations to managers on disciplinary mattersAttend disciplinary hearings as the HR RepresentativeEnsure that all discipline / hearings are procedurally and substantively correctProvide advice and recommendations to managers and employees on conflict managementAttend monthly shop steward meetingsHandle all grievancesConduct performance management training with all new or promoted junior / middle managersProvide assistance to managers regarding performance appraisals and performance managementAdvise on pay and remuneration issues, including promotions, benefits, and salary reviewsAssist with reviewing human resources policies, processes and procedures to support the company's goals and objectives and to enhance employee satisfaction and commitmentProvides advice on human resources issues to employees and managementDevelops new employee onboarding / induction processesEnsure employee starter packs are completed for new employeesEnsures the consistent interpretation and administration of company policies and procedures by acting as a resource to managersCoordinates all staff social activities and employee recognition programsHandle medical aid queries and related documentationHandle pension fund queries and related documentationComplete monthly HR ReportsComplete UI19 forms for terminated employeesComplete Certificates of Service for terminated employeesCreate and maintain personnel files for all employeesAccurate and timeous completion of all HR related administrationCode 08 Drivers LicenseOwn transport essentialSound knowledge of current labour legislation (LRA;
  • BCEA; EE)Knowledge of the MEIBC Main agreement is preferredAbility to handle multiple tasks with changing prioritiesProficient in MS Word, Excel, OutlookHighly professional and assertiveExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent team playerMust be able to work independently and under pressureStrong initiator, energetic and ability to manage change wellHigh level of integrity, ethics and confidentialityMust be able to travel to different sites ESSENTIAL : Minimum HR Diploma (HR Degree advantageous)Minimum 5 years hands-on HR generalist experience in a manufacturing, Automotive / FMCG environment i.
