Our client is a importer and wholesale distributor of office products and stationery. Calling on resellers, specialist stationery stores, retailers and wholesale companies.

Based Johannesburg - central

We are looking for a seasoned sales rep, with solid career history and good sales track record.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Sales

  • Meeting and exceeding sales budgets - Sales and profit (for allocated customers)
  • Servicing allocated client base (physical calls, telephonic calls, virtual calls)
  • Increasing spend in all categories with allocated client base
  • Open new accounts as aligned with KPI’s
  • Contact dormant customers in order to revive these accounts
  • Secure sales of items on specials promotion, new products
  • Promoting and selling seasonal’ stock or planned campaigns
  • Proactively set up promotions with customers
  • In store merchandising, building of displays, floor stand etc, where applicable
  • Planning

  • Focus on sales categories in line with company objectives
  • New business development
  • Focus on non-buying accounts
  • Plan monthly contact with customers in advance (Physical calls, telephonic contact, virtual calls)
  • Set monthly goals per customer and plan accordingly
  • Plan and integrate sales activities and goals
  • Admin

  • Admin and office duties necessary to service allocated customers
  • Generate sales reports from X3 to Excel
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports
  • Analysis of sales by product category / customer / item
  • Maintain call cycle one month in advance
  • Ensure customer electronic details are updated and current
  • Follow up on queries, back orders and ETA’s and communicate to customers
  • Generate and manage quotations for allocated customers
  • Give reasons as to why quotes were unsuccessful
  • Manage and maintain personal business expenses within Company guidelines
  • Understand all processes pertaining to customer orders (quotations, prepare orders, back orders, ETA’s etc)
  • Become familiar with price lists / product ranges / new products etc
  • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ALSO INCLUDE :

  • Have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the price list and catalogues
  • Have excellent knowledge of products and stock codes
  • Understand SageX3 and all functionalities
  • Know and understand customer Group pricing (Office National, KEYAC etc)
  • Have sales skills and ability to close deals with customers
  • Be able to deal with customer complaints and follow through to the end
  • Knowledge of Skynamo as a CRM tool
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Follow call-cycle planning to interact with customers on a regular basis
  • Collaboration and teamwork are key to the success of achieving Company goals
  • Complete any other tasks as requested by management
  • Requirements :

  • Proven sales experience and successful track record
  • Good understanding of office management, sales, and marketing principles
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
  • Understand SageX3 and all functionalities relevant processes
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Excel
  • Must have analytical skills
  • Must pay attention to detail
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be able to work independently and adhere to deadlines and strict turnaround times
  • Must understand basic business principles (profit, COS, expenses etc)
  • Must have business acumen and be able to communicate at all levels
  • Minimum of a matric certificate
  • Remuneration :

  • Basic salary R9 000 R12 000
  • Car Allowance R6 000
  • Commission
  • Petrol Allowance
