Requirements An appropriate Degree or Diploma in language, Language planning and 3-5 years’ experience with relevant experience.

Knowledge : PFMA, Language Legislations and Prescripts. Duties Promote and develop official languages. Develop terminologyand support marginalized languages.
To promote cooperation among domains involved in Language Development e.g. PlanSALB, Provincial Language Committee and National Language Services.
Translating and editing of official documents. Provide administrative support to Provincial Language Committee. Develop, support and promote literature culture in all languages.
Promote the publication of literature in the province. To manage policy development and its evaluation. Run language awareness programs.
Ensure the implementation of Gauteng Provincial Languages Act, 2016. Advise on areas of research for language development.
Submit quarterly and progress reports on language and literature development. Monitor the expenditure of the subdivision.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders in Language field. Contribute information towards the development of policies and legislation.
Give input to strategic and operational plans as well as budget. Provide support on community projects and initiatives. Attend to Language developmental issues as delegated by supervisor.
