A global leader in the speciality chemical manufacturing industry requires the above to be responsible for supporting the growth of the business within SSA and representing business interests to the customers and partners within the African region as well as executing technical and business support activities.
Minimum requirements for the role :
A BSc degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is essential.
Minimum 3 years’ experience within Technical Sales or Marketing ideally with a commercial or technical background.
Previous experience within the polyurethane (flexible foam) and related industries would be advantageous.
Ideally based in Kenya, Nairobi and willing to travel within Sub-Sahara Africa.
Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
Sound ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Providing technical and commercial support at customers and dealers within the industry.
Conducting customer trials and application training at flexible foam producers.
Identifying market and customer requirements as well as initiating projects to continuously develop business.
Maintaining an effective relationship with existing and potential customers, suppliers and distributors.
Providing support to distributors in achieving their targets.
Gathering and reporting of market information
Developing business for all relevant polyurethane additives and release agents in Africa.
Establishing a thorough reporting system within the region as well as to line managers internationally.
Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on competitors' capabilities and on market developments
Developing and updating the regional strategy as well as participating in trade fairs, conferences, customer seminars and related activities.
