Communicate, interpret and adhere to Engen's Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) policies and Zero Tolerance (ZeTo) rules to ensure individual safety and that of others, safeguard business operations and Engen's compliance to industrial requirements.

Enforce the implementation of applicable Engen procedures and guidelines and affect the compliance to statutory and legislative requirements to ensure conformance to the established Limits of Authority (LOA) to safeguard Engen's interest, image and reputation.

Key Job Specific Accountabilities 1 : Custom Application Development
Develop technical solutions that comply with Engen architecture principles and QA standards and latest industry and technology trends by designing solutions that meet business requirements, developing efficient code using up to date development techniques, unit testing developed solution and deploying signed off solution into Production to enable the business to make better decisions and improve operational efficiencies
Key Job Specific Accountabilities 2 : Incident and Problem Management
Support business systems to provide results as expected by analysing custom, standard SAP code and logging SAP Incidents to identify the root cause, provide and / or implement remedial action.
Key Job Specific Accountabilities 3 : Quality Assurance
Review quality of custom developed code by comparing code against a set of development standards, standard SAP functionality and cyber security rules to minimise disruption to business systems and reduce exposure to code vulnerabilities.
Key Job Specific Accountabilities 4 : Solution Documentation
Document new and existing custom developed solutions by adhering to Engen and SAP development standards and procedures and conforming to best programming principles to facilitate support and future maintenance.
Key Job Specific Accountabilities 5 : Custom Code Lifecycle Management
Manage custom code development lifecycle by using SAP utilities to analyse logs and system dumps to identify and repair syntax errors and code inefficiencies, decommissioning unused code, replacing obsolete code and categorising development to reduce the support and upgrade effort.
Education & ExperienceMinimum Qualification, Accreditation & Experience :
NQF Level 7 (B.Comm, B.Sc or any IT related tertiary qualifications)
Programming language included in studies
5 years SAP Development experience
across at least 3 SAP modules
Advantageous Qualification, Accreditation & Experience :
SAP Oil and Gas experience
