Accountabilities & Deliverables Engineer new and maintain existing software solutions which adhere to Iress’s technology and delivery goals and definition of quality.

Specifically, as an agile team member, develop complete, working, performing solutions, timeously as per client business requirements Collaborate with technical leaders and engineers to design and develop effective quality solutions aligned with Iress’s technology goals Advocate engineering best practices and adhering to design principles and patterns Never compromises on product health by ensuring version control, automatic deployment, continuous integration, test automation, continuous deployment, security and observability measures are built into delivery As an agile team member ensure a good understanding of business domain and requirements, collaborate with the team to refine work, build a sustainable and predictable team delivery cadence and provide reliable projections to stakeholders Contribute to a positive and inspiring workplace through energy, positive attitude and especially a positive problem solving attitude Provide support (technical and / or other) on products / solutions to internal support (Iress Help Desk) group Key Relationships At IRESS, Engineers are members of agile teams, forming an integral part of the software development process.

Key relationships are : The Engineer works as a member of our agile engineering team The agile engineering team consists of engineers, quality engineers, product owner and engineering team lead The agile engineering team works proactively and collaboratively with business teams Collaborate with technical leaders and other engineers to design and engineer effective quality solutions The agile engineering team works proactively and collaboratively with support teams Core Skills, Knowledge and Attributes Must have an IT Degree or Diploma and applicable training in the engineering field Must have 3+ years experience in .

Net C# Must have experience in relational database technologies - PostgreSQL or SQL Must have 3+ years experience in JavaScript Solid understanding of key engineering principles Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Take personal ownership and responsibility for work and work effectively within the team Good problem-solving and analytical abilities, with high attention to detail Logical and critical thinking skills with ability to learn at a steady pace Experience in the finance industry or other mission critical environments, would be an advantage Must have a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies (e.

g. SCRUM) Be familiar with technology and tools used for source code management, code collaboration and issue management.
