Your duties will be the following :

  • Desktop Support for office and remote workers.
  • Administration and documentation of IT systems and equipment.
  • Procurement of office IT equipment, software, and services.
  • Administration of user accounts across internal IT systems.
  • Troubleshoot / repair office IT equipment and software.
  • Administration, maintenance, and evolution of the LAN.
  • Ensure reliable internet, VPN, Wifi to all staff.
  • Maintenance and administration of the VoIP system and AV systems.
  • User Security (antivirus, logins / 2FA, permissions, drive encryption, office tags)
  • Conduct regular audits on internal IT infrastructure, equipment, licenses, and systems.
  • First line support for the Durbanville offices backup power and UPS systems.
  • Skills and requirements :

  • Grade 12 with minimum 5 years experience in a systems administration or technical support role with solid Linux system administration skills.
  • Certification in network or Linux administration will be beneficial.
  • Advantageous :
  • 3CX administration experience.
  • LPI or equivalent certification.
  • Linux troubleshooting.
  • Windows desktop troubleshooting.
  • Techstack :
  • Operation systems : Linux, Microsoft Windows MacOS.
  • Network OS - MikroTik, JunOS, Netgear.
  • TCP / IP stack, DNS & DHCP.
  • Virtualisation technologies eg AWS, OpenStack.
  • Fortinet, Okta, OpenVPN.
  • GSuite
