Excellent opportunity for a tax professional to join a well-established and medium sized accounting & audit firm in the Stellenbosch.
The candidate must have the ability to attend to all tax compliance matters in the firm. The candidate should have strong tax experience with a few years experience in a similar role and must preferably be a registered Tax Practitioner. Duties & Responsibilities
Tax Administration and dispute resolution including but not limited to timeous submission of tax returns provisional tax returns, lodging of disputes, requests for reasons, penalty waivers, dividends taxes, etc.
Tax calculations and reconciliations
Budget management in respect of client engagements
Prepare proposal documents / letters of engagement
Assist with department budgets
Review of work
Recommend billings amount and timings
Role model the organizational culture and instil culture in others
Assist with performance management
On-the-job training, coaching, and guiding
Build and maintain client relationships
Grow client portfolio
Identify cross-selling opportunities
Provide technical assistance to staff members (where required).
Maintain excellent client relationships.
Research
Consulting and tax advice
Requirements :
Registered Tax Practitioner will be an advantage
Degree or diploma in finance or similar
Other relevant tax qualifications
Minimum 2+ years experience in similar role
Qualified by experience will also be considered
Computer literate proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point
Familiar with audit software able to navigate through and use Caseware
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of IFRS Additional
