The Motor Industry Retirement Funds has an exciting new opportunity for the position of a suitably qualified and experienced Finance Administrator in Randburg, Johannesburg.

The Motor Industry Retirement Funds are established in terms of the Pension Funds Act, No 24 of 1956, administers five retirement funds in the retail motor industry as defined by the Motor Industry Bargaining Council (MIBCO) namely Auto Workers?

  • Provident Fund (approximately 182k members); Motor Industry Provident Fund (approximately 62k members); Motor Industry Pension Fund (approximately 6k members);
  • Motor Industry Beneficiary Fund and the Coparts Fund (approximately 700 members). Our company is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Finance Administrators to join our dynamic team.

    Overall Purpose of the Job Perform the day to day processing of financial transactions to ensure that general ledger accounts are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner : .

  • Position Description The following output and key responsibilities are required from the successful candidate : Receive and verify invoices;
  • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures; Prepare, verify and process invoices and coding payment documents;
  • Data enter invoices for payment; Maintain listing of accounts payable; Maintain the general ledger; Maintain updated accounting files and file numbers;
  • Following up on outstanding accounting documents and information; Provide administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations;
  • Maintain a filing system for all financial documents; Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial files; Assist with completion of monthly bank reconciliations;
  • Assist in the maintenance of the fixed asset register; Perform other related duties as required.Required Skills excelent communication skills : 1 to 2 yearsaccounting clerk experience : 2 to 3 yearsdoing reconciliations : 1 to 2 yearsCandidate Requirements Grade 12 with accounting and mathematics Good attendance and reliability Minimum of 2 years?

    experience as financial clerk / officer (recommendation) Communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Everest System will be recommendation.

    Experience in doing financial calculations and or reconciliations Customer oriented. Ability to work under pressure. Analytical skills.
