Reference : JHB002559-MN-1 Our client at within the telecommunications space, is looking to expand our Tier 2 Support Engineer team, with people who share their passion for implementing, customizing and supporting high quality business solutions.
The Tier 2 Support Engineer will be responsible for all calls that comes through the call centre and assist where possible.
They require experience working in a Call Centre environment, dealing with escalations and ticket logs. Sound understanding of Wireless and Fibre connectivity dealing with the Tier 3 Support Engineers and managing the service deliver for various clients.
Experience and responsibilities includes : Supporting Lines and Networks : ADSL, 3G, 4G, LTE, Fibre and Microwave Lines.
Configure and troubleshoot LAN / WAN / VLANs, TCP / IP and DHCP. Adding Virtual Interfaces on both Huawei or Cisco Routers.
Configure and troubleshoot Wi-Fi Connectivity. Routing Protocols : EIGRP, RIPv2, OSPF, TCP / IP. Failing the traffic over to the secondary by adding Static Routes and Dynamic Routing.
Changing port VLAN on a switch and confirming cable failure. Testing APN lines. Creating and Authorizing FTTP access Via Grovel.
Troubleshooting End-Users Issues Telephonically and Remotely Creating, disabling and enabling Users on Active Directory.
Logging calls with Vendors on Customer portals.
