Job Purpose / Overview :

  • The Group Training Support (GTS) is responsible for the effective operation and execution of Group Exercise within their respective regions.
  • This will include but not be limited to;
  • The planning, administering and execution of classes, to increase participation and consistently deliver the highest level of member experience.
  • Class and instructor (Internal and External) evaluation as per policy and procedure.
  • Meet and exceed all agreed objectives.
  • Accurate management and reporting of attendance.
  • Controllable expenses management within budget.
  • Professionally represent and promote Planet ï tness as a Brand Ambassador through the way you behave and act both at the club, and when on other Planet ï tness business
  • Apply the bottom-up approach in order to develop and implement new plans / ideas that will enhance group exercise in the company at large.
  • Performance analysis of your region as set out and agreed by your line manager.
  • Recruitment, development and management of a high-performing group instructor team (Internal and External) to deliver high standards in all areas of group exercise.
  • Following a critical path as agreed by your line manager to achieve targets across your region.
  • Continuous review and streamlining of existing policies and procedures to drive consistency of delivery across your region.
  • Enhanced communication through regular and effective meetings
  • To drive a positive Net Member Movement by focusing on Member satisfaction and retention through the high standard of delivery in all group exercise components.
  • To guide a team by modelling respect for employees, contractors, members, visitors and colleagues through professionalism; honesty and integrity
  • Ensuring the region is not placed in a position of liability by non-compliance or acts of negligence.

    Comply with Health and Safety and Club Operating procedures. Ensure the safe and effective operation of your club, keeping facility downtime to a minimum.

    4. Group Exercise

    Comply with all Planet Fitness operational requirements by enhancing Group Exercise through quality and delivery of classes to both new and existing members.

    Experience & Competencies Required :

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to take initiative and be a creative thinker with advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyse numerical data and analytics / stats.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks and projects.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Power Point, Excel.
  • Practical and technical knowledge of Group Fitness is required.
  • Demonstrate social media influence utilizing Facebook and Instagram
  • Demonstrate ability in outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Group Fitness Exercise Certificate / Diploma.
  • Strong knowledge of the different Group Exercise classes.
  • Able to assess Group fitness classes.
  • 2-3 years of experience in progressive fitness / group exercise management preferred.
  • Experience of Fitness / Leisure
  • Managing a multi-disciplined team
  • Passion for getting people active
