KONE South Africa continues to focus on growth despite the difficult economic times and we have several strategic positions to support the Global and Local Sustainable Winning with Customers strategy To complement our growth plans, Sales is one of the corner stones of local strategy and we have a exciting Sales Manager role which is considered to be a strategic priority for KONE South Africa.

Reporting directly to the Regional Director , we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Sales Manager Modernization & New Equipment Business to be based in our Durban office.

In this role, you will lead a sales team of professionals while setting short term and long-term sales strategies for the Modernization and New Equipment Business.

You will actively lead the sales process and sales team to achieve the sales targets by coaching and developing the sales team.

We are looking for somebody with a proven track record of being a go-getter and understands how to partner and collaborate with the business.

We need someone who has the ability to influence, with an analytical mindset, result driven and a strong commercial acumen skills.

Are you the one?

  • University degree or higher and Management Development Program will be advantageous;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales Management
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in complex project selling
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Solution Selling
  • Experience in Sales Forecasting / Sales Budgeting
  • Technical background in the construction and building material with experience in the elevator / escalator industry preferred;
  • Experience on CRM tools and MS Office is a must;
  • Highly motivated, goal oriented, diligent, organized self-starter with an orientation towards a high level of customer service;
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data to draw conclusions and identify patterns;
  • Ability to bring people together and to be able to lead by example;
  • Passion for sales, with a proven track record and a strong customer focus;
  • Excellent English communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Knowledge of other African languages will be advantageous
