Position Title : Operational Support Manager - Finance
The main purpose of the job is to support financial and business process development as well as to improve and implement standard processes at local site and organizational unit including any adaptations or variants.
Secure process implementation locally.
Reporting : This role will be reporting to the Director Company Control - Finance.
Support the Director Company Control with securing cost, quality and efficiency in each function (Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Record to Report, Treasury, Internal Control, Legal (Company) matters)
Represent the finance function in projects / new business setup / change management / BBBEE compliance / other compliance matters.
Perform extensive data analytics and compile reports to
propose changes in financial and operational processes,
engage with central group functions to secure development required, and
Facilitate business decisions.
Bring business knowledge and needs / requirements from the local site to the Business Process Developer in process development and improvement activities
Collect, propose and help prioritize change requests from the local site and organizational unit towards the Business Process Developer
Participate in process acceptance tests
Analyse business issues and business requests from a process and solution perspective from the local site before initiating a formal change request
Identify root cause to define process and solution improvement area and propose solution for local site or escalate
Communicate and anchor process improvement proposals at the local site / organization
Support implementation of standard processes at local site / organization
Support the definition of process measurement / s
Perform process training and give support to process users at the local site / organization
Drive and support the alignment of the process / es with business strategies and define process development & Improvement plan and priorities
Have domain competence and bring business knowledge and needs / requirements as a subject matter expert from the local site to the Process Manager in process development and improvement activities
Analyse, compile and prioritize process and solution change requests from the local site and organizational unit towards the Process Manager
Manage and maintain approved process variants
Drive and facilitate process network involving the Process and Solution Key Users as necessary to represent all the relevant local sites / organizations
Education and Job Experience
Post graduate degree in Accounting (B.COM HONS / CA) or equivalent (Economics & Business Subjects)
Min 4-5 year accounting experience
Min 4-5 year business process knowledge
Knowledge of SAP, CAPS and Syspro is advantageous
Job Knowledge and Skills
Good understanding of related processes and solutions
Good understanding of process interfaces to other processes
Basic knowledge about process methods and tools
Good knowledge and experience in change management
Must be fully proficient or expert in business knowledge and understanding
Must be an expert in Effective Communication
Must be an expert in end to end process knowledge
Must be teamwork orientated
Must be accountable
Must be have experience in Cross-border Collaboration
