This Senior Accountant position for an Industrial Engineering company reports to the Finance Manager and is a challenging role with lots of scope & opportunity to show your abilities & make a difference.
You will be an integral part of the Finance team and will support the Financial Manager in terms of accounting responsibilities including reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. Your Responsibilities :
GENERAL
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the accounting and control information held in and reported from the organisation’s accounting systems
Prepare the organisations budgets, forecasts and business planning
Preparing and analysing cash flow statements, income and expenditure accounts and balance sheet accounts
Provide financial support to the projects teams, finance teams and business development teams
Reinforce financial data confidentiality
Any other duties as may be required by the Managing Director
DAILY / WEEKLY
Tax invoices (Orders and projects)
Project (SQ) supplier invoices
Overheads invoices
Cash books
Royalties processing
Current cash flow
Follow up the costs classification
MONTHLY
Prepare the justification of the content of the accounts including the bank reconciliations
Month end payments
VAT processing & filing
Follow up on the inventories of the warehouse and reconciliation thereof
Production orders / WIP analysis & reconciliation
Follows up the workload of the company
Following up on all projects (Sales Price and Gross Margin) from booking to completion : ensuring the Gross Margin at booking is correctly calculated and follow up until 100 % completion of the project.
Hours spent per contracts compare to the initial estimate
BFC Monthly reporting (Intercompany reconciliation; order intake; cash flow)
QUARTERLY
Review of the provisions, the accruals to be booked if any on the on-going contracts, the order book, the overheads
First analytical review of the P&L and the Balance Sheet (to make sure that the GL is 100% justified)
Assets & depreciation
BFC Quarterly reporting (Intercompany reconciliation; P&L Flash report; C Package; RB Package; AX packages Off balance sheet liabilities )
Follows up the budget (actual versus last revision explanation of the variances anticipation of the variances and proposal of corrective actions)
BI-ANNUALLY / ANNUALLY
PRT (annual cash forecast) package
Audit : interim and year-end, including validation of the audit report
Calculates the standard hourly rate
Corporate TAX returns
Knowledge of the Process is required to operate, monitor and maintain direct area of accountability and complete necessary work as per the accountabilities mentioned above.
Understand how changes to process conditions affect the area process outputs and how this impacts on other areas of the site from a compliance perspective.
Liaise with external auditors on completion of year-end audit

Accounting qualification
Skills You will have 10 years proven work experience in a Senior Financial role and have :
Strong organisational skills to ensure timelines are met
Auditing background
SAP experience would be a distinct advantage
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good planning & organisational skills
