Responsibilities : Food safety and food safety systems : Ensuring facility complies with food safety requirements as Important Company out by the relevant food safety standardr>

Ensuring that all food safety, quality, and legislative documentation on file is the most current versionr>

Keeping abreast of all new trends emerging in the industry pertaining to the products used by the company and produced by the company, as well as food safety and quality related trendsr>

Assisting with any food safety related audits conducted internally or externally by third parties, factory tours or customer visitsr>

Raise non-conformances internal and for customer complaints to address any issues relating to a deviation from the system or relating to products manufactured that be unsafe or consumptionnvestigating root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actionr>

Assist all representatives on a technical level should it be requiredr>

Updating and maintaining the food safety system to comply with relevant standard requirementsr>

Checking that all factory records are completed correctly, accurately and the most current version is usedr>

General administrative duties which include but is not limited to supplier questionnaires, updating of final product specifications, filing, etcr>

Product quality : Ensure that all products manufactured are of unfailing quality, as per product specifications and customer expectationr>

Investigate quality issues that arise and implement corrective and preventative actionsr>

Ensure all external testing requirements are fulfilledr>

Hygiene monitoring must be done according to the scheduler>

Assisting in laboratory with testing and general tasks as requiredr>

Supervising laboratory staff when requiredr>

General administrative dutiesr>

Other : You from time to time be required to work in any other department in the factory to perform ad hoc tasks or as operational requirements demandr>

Requirements : Food Science / Technology or related discipline qualification to degree level or equivalentMinimum 2 - 5 years technical experience working for a food manufacturerr>

Knowledge of relevant food safety requirements and implementation thereofr>

Knowledge of quality testing and inspectionsr>

Previous experience in the spice industry will be advantageousr>

Demonstrable experience in conduct and management of Internal Audits is a requirementr>

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, accurate and precise with demonstrable attention to detailr>

IT Literate in Microsoft applicationsr>

A strong self-starter, self-motivated with a flexible and adaptable working approachr>
