As a member of the Cape Town SmartHub Team, you will be part of our mission to empower our stakeholders to achieve more through mining various sources of data, finding interesting insights and delivering reports to support data-driven decision making.
As an Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for advancing the ENTERTAINERS knowledge of our customer and merchant behaviour through data.
Youâ€™ll support various teams (B2B, B2C and Travel) in providing reports and insights to inform strategic decision making and marketing activations.
As an Insights Analyst you will also become a subject matter expert on our data and systems and work together with our Data Analyst and -Scientist to further drive the digitization of our company.

The Insights Executive willâ€
Have an innate talent in analytical storytelling with exceptional ability to convey complex analytical results to business stakeholders in relevant and accessible language
Partner with business owners to identify opportunities to use data-driven insights to answer critical business questions and structure analyses around these questions
Identify and research data inconsistency issues, working closely with E-Biz Data Team to enhance our Analytics and Reporting Environment.
Collaborate with product functional teams in using data to help improve product performance.
Hack through problems using the scientific method to provide insights and recommendations to business.

A relevant 3-year tertiary degree / diploma
2+ years of relevant experience in a Data and Analytics / Business Intelligence Environment.
Proven experience in the delivery of Insights Reports
Data manipulation skills (SQL and Spark SQL technologies)
Knowledge on Azure Databricks
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Expertise in visualization tools such as Power BI and / or Tableau
Expertise in analytical tools such as R, Python advantageous
An understanding of digital marketing metrics and methodologies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
