A well-established manufacturing and distribution company requires the above to develop business and marketing plans, implement and manage them, to attain overall business goal of sustainable profitable growth through customer loyalty.
Minimum requirements for the role :
Tertiary qualification in Marketing or Commerce is essential and an MBA is preferred but not essential.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the FMCG and commercial arena is essential.
3 Years’ experience in a supervisory position is essential.
Experience in Strategic marketing processes, marketing and sales principles, marketing planning and implementation of effective marketing plans, product launches, pricing, distribution, costing, budgeting, forecasting, gross margins, competitor analysis and supervisory principles is essential.
Previous sales experience is preferred but not essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
Developing and implementing agreed regional and local marketing plans.
Recruiting, training, coaching, motivating and developing marketing personnel.
Assisting with pricing, positioning, advertising and promotions, monitoring markets, competitor activities and business climate.
Developing and implementing advertising and promotion plans to support Business Unit plans.
Setting and achieving objectives of turnover, operating income and returning on capital employed.
Selecting and managing channels of distribution.
Conducting customer visits and working with members of team in field.
Representing as an active member or division operating committee and marketing council.
Leading and participating in various S.O.S. and alternative manufacturing acquisition targets and business process task groups.
Managing business analysis tools and problem solving.
