R900 000 R1 500 000 pa dependent on experience

You will be responsible for developing and executing all key growth sales strategies and action plans through effective marketing.

Knowledge of the International inbound market into South Africa and an understanding of the luxury travel market is required.

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience within a strategic sales and marketing role
  • 3+ years experience specific to the international inbound travel / hospitality market required
  • Knowledge and experience with digital and traditional marketing
  • Experience within the luxury travel industry will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly
  • Responsibilities

  • Develop & implement strategies to drive sales and to expand the companys international customer base
  • Own and exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Manage the current outsourced sales team; this includes performance management and full support
  • Take full ownership of the brand and provide the vision, mission, goals and strategies
  • Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies
  • Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns
  • Identify and target key domestic and international industry events
  • Market and brand analysis and consumer insights
  • Monitor competition, market share and anticipate and respond quickly to market trends
  • Ensure smooth communication between operations, sales, reservations and brand
  • Have a good understanding of all source markets : direct, OTA, DMC, groups / series
  • Identify, negotiate and manage new partner contracts and marketing opportunities to maximize market share
  • Be strategic with special packages or programs to boost occupancy during slow periods by recognising areas of opportunity effectively at all levels (External and internal stakeholders)
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors
  • Demonstrable experience in developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of booking engines
  • Ability to travel nationally and abroad
