Kempton Park - The Sales - and account manager is responsible for sales, but they are also responsible for the management of their current clients and potential new clients.
This role is focused on providing relevant sales that drives and reaches target and is also responsible for keeping clients that have already been through the sales process, happy and satisfied with the company.
In the past, this role was purely sales focused, but now this role will be a combined role between sales and account management.
Account management entails a lot of time and effort to be spent on upselling clients and on maintaining good current client relationships.
JOB DESCRIPTION The role is a client focused role new and current clients and mainly based on sales and on relationship management Some key objectives of the role are : Growing of client accounts new and existing Driving and achieving sales targets Managing clients within the allocated territory Ensuring healthy relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver optimally to the client KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Accomplished with the assistance of the sales manager and the technical team as well as the sales administrator Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives Develop on-sell opportunities with existing clients and / or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas Forecast and track key account metrics (e.
g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) Identify and grow opportunities within own sales territory Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success Develop positive relationships with clients Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner Report on the status of accounts and transactions Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives Monitor sales metrics (e.
g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth ADDITIONAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS PER SKILL SET AND BUSINESS REQUIREMENT Liaising with technical team to ensure that they deliver on the client requirements Client service internally and externally KEY REQUIREMENTS : Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level Hands on experience in sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer experience Solid experience with CRM software Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs Proven ability to juggle multiple sales and account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail Understanding of sales performance metrics Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills
