The opportunity

Do you want to take a lead role in the consultation process for a complex regulatory issue and deliver audit work that will result in highest quality results during Audit Quality Review or external regulatory review? This role is for you.

You’ll work as part of high-performing teams on a broad range of financial services clients and assignments that will stretch and challenge you.

You’ll be encouraged and expected to take accountability and make an impact.

Your key responsibilities

The scope of the work that you can expect to be involved in will include supporting our develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring all levels of staff.

Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for all levels of staff. Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training professionals.

Contribute to the maintenance of an educational program to continually develop personal skills. Understand, follow and communicate workplace policies and procedures to all levels of staff.

Develop personal profile and awareness of the firm’s offerings in the marketplace

Skills and attributes :

  • Legal academic background or demonstrated affinity would be an advantage
  • Previous experience of exposure to regulatory requirements across pan-African jurisdictions would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Complex problem-solving capabilities
  • An interest in continuous self-development
  • To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Banking sector environment of which at least 6 years’ experience of Prudential regulatory environment within Financial Services.
  • Understanding of leading governance processes and controls to manage and monitor regulatory returns
  • Knowledge of banking and the prudential regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, the banking system, financial and banking products, regulations, and risk management and models
  • Ideally, you’ll also have :

  • Ability to understand and adapt to changing regulatory and legislative requirements
