Job Purpose

  • To implement the SBFC entrepreneur partner model across designated outlets for the Lifestyle, Prestige, Middle segment in order to drive profitability.
  • Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

    Entrepreneur sales and service :

  • Identifies potential principals and outlets and provides input into the vetting and onboarding process.
  • Provides input into the development of the specific SBFC segment strategy and drives execution.
  • Ensures that the SBFC sales objectives and initiatives for the entrepreneur segment is delivered through the establishment of profitable outlets in support of a world class premier advisory strategy.
  • Executes on the entrepreneur mandated advisory operating model in the designated area (e.g., look and feel of outlet, standards, processes, accreditation of planners, leasing of premises, Ops SLA, etc.).
  • Drives and delivers on agreed designated outlet targets.
  • Maximises utilisation of the internal and external network to achieve business objectives and targets.
  • Remains abreast of, and drives relevant aspects of the RBB objectives in order to provide appropriate level of SBFC support (e.
  • g., RBB scorecards, processes, products, etc.).

  • Ensures optimal effectiveness and efficiency across outlets makes the necessary adjustments where required.
  • Resolves escalated sales and service matters (e.g., processes, customers, complaints, etc.).
  • Prepares relevant reporting as input into overall management information.
  • Executes on sales incentives / campaigns.
  • Customer service :

  • Ensures that designated outlets adhere to laid down sales and service processes.
  • Promotes a professional image and displays exemplary behaviour. Ensures that synergies and teamwork needed to optimise sales and service delivery is in place.
  • Stakeholder engagement :

  • Remains abreast of all Group business drivers (e.g., Offshore, Liberty, Stanlib, etc.) to provide appropriate level of support to the designated outlets.
  • Provides consolidated input and feedback to the line manager on the suitability of solutions to relevant stakeholders (e.
  • g., Product, Wealth, etc.) based on interactions and own observations.

  • Contributes to the enablement of a universal services organisation by identifying other relevant opportunities / leads and advising relevant business partners accordingly.
  • Regulatory and SBG policies :

  • Ensures that all the required guidance and support is provided to the designated outlets for them to contribute to SBFC’s overall financial objectives.
  • Ensures adherence to risk and compliance requirements.
  • Ensures adherence to all sales and service processes.
  • Ensures that all SBFC outlets staff are FAIS compliant.
  • Flags possible risks for the business in the respective practices / outlets.
  • People management

  • Supports the team to ensure effective delivery of objectives for the designated area.
  • Contributes towards ensuring a high performing team by embedding the bank's performance process, regular performance feedback and coaching.
  • Addresses poor performance.

  • Motivates team members and ensures that they receive recognition for work well done.
  • Determines development needs of the team and ensures that development opportunities (training, rotation, on-the-job learning) are budgeted for and executed.
  • Identify and assess high potential principals to recruit.
  • Responsible for the continuous standards monitoring of the principals and their practices.
  • Interviews and recruits new members of the team, including determining the appropriate remuneration with input from the Human Capital Business Partner.
  • Creates workforce plans for the area to ensure that current and future business requirements can be met. Such plans should be revisited at least twice a year.
  • When required, initiates disciplinary processes for team members. Resolves grievances raised by team members, escalating only if unresolved.
  • Overall measures

  • Achievement of agreed financial objectives for designated outlets (e.g., growth in revenue, achievement of sales targets, etc.)
  • Achievement of customer service levels (customer feedback)
  • Adherence to risk and compliance requirements
  • Stakeholder feedback as gauged by internal network
  • Effective people management and influence.
  • Preferred Qualification and Experience

  • Preference for B.Comm / Legal degree
  • Certified Financial Planner / Wealth management certificate
  • Minimum required qualification and experience in terms of FAIS fit and proper requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 3-4 Years Experience in all the product categories in terms of FAIS for SBFC.
  • Experience in managing a team of financial planners.
  • Experience in FAIS categories.
  • Knowledge / Technical Skills / Expertise

  • Minimum required qualification and experience in terms of FAIS fit and proper requirements
