Position Description :

A great opportunity has become available within the Insurance Department of TFG Financial Services overseeing products within the insurance portfolio.

This role is responsible for managing a Direct Marketing Business Unit comprising a number of revenue generating insurance products within a Sales Contact Centre environment.

Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Accountability of the product / s strategy by ensuring that relevant marketing strategies and plans are in place for the various products to achieve overall competitive advantage and profitability
  • Ensuring compliance in line with the relevant legislation (e.g. FAIS, FSRA, CPA, POPI, NCA etc.)
  • Maintaining current products and distribution channels
  • Identify new opportunities to grow existing products
  • Influencing and negotiating with internal and external business partners / providers
  • Ensuring effective communication strategies are implemented per product aligned to the product plan
  • Maintain growth / profit targets for the product / s
  • Providing strategic support to the insurance manager and product team
  • Ensuring adhoc business projects are executed within the agreed timelines
  • As the ideal candidate, you will need :

  • A tertiary qualification in Business or Marketing Management
  • At least 2-3 years relevant Marketing experience in a sales environment
  • FAIS Re 5 qualification (advantageous)
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • High level of assertiveness, drive and motivation
  • Strong strategic thinking & business acumen
  • Passion to drive sales in a target driven environment
  • Proven analytic and decision-making ability
  • Ability to work independently and in a team,
  • People management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a highly pressurised environment
  • Strong judgement and forward planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong communication written and verbal skills
  • Ability to persuade, influence and present information at all levels
  • To be computer literate (MS Office : with Advanced Excel)
  • Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act and in line with TFG’s Employment Equity Policy.
