Reference : CPT000024-MR-1Our client situated in Ottery Cape Town is looking for a trade tested electrical Service Technician to join their dynamic teamDuties & ResponsibilitiesWork independently with assistants and perform maintenance, inspection, electrical and basic mechanical repairs and snagging on turbine components on client’s sites across Wind Farms in SA, in accordance with Client requirements and manage the assistants during projects.

Requirements Grade 12Valid driver’s License Code 08 to drive from site to sitePre-employment Medically Fit Certificate for working at heights and confined spaceIntermediate level in MS OfficeTrade Tested ElectricianRequired to travel and work away from home2 years working experience performing electrical repairsSound knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Construction Regulations Core Functions Maintenance, Inspection, Repairs and SnaggingWork with Head of Operations in coordinating and planning projects according to customer requirementsAssist with purchasing tools, equipment and spare parts for projectsEnsure that team has the required resources for the projectConduct maintenance, inspections, repairs and snagging according to the client’s requirementsand within technical scopeFault finding on basic electrical repairsRemoving mountings and bearingsDiagnosis and testing of electrical systemsIntemperate electrical diagrams and drawingsPerform all routine service and repair work, prompt and accurate diagnosis of faultsWorking with conductors and cablesFault finding on basic electrical circuits and installations on 1,2 and 3 phase systemsMonitoring auxiliary circuitsWiring harness and connectors3 Phase, direct and line wiring and testing of electrical systemsTracing on wire connectivityPerform basic mechanical repairsReportsComplete petty cash requests and recons, travel logs and submit to finance within the required time frames with supporting documentationComplete Daily Task Records and Work Reports for each project and submit within the required time framesProvide updates on the project to the Head of Operations and escalate delays and critical issues as prescribedHealth & SafetyObey to the Health and safety rules and policies and procedures of the both the company and the clientReport unsafe or unhealth to conditions to immediate SupervisorReport any incident / accidents to SHEQ officer within the required timeframesResponsible to inspect PPE and report defects immediately to Line Manager and / SHEQ officerTeam ManagementComplete time sheets for all team members, obtain the required client approvals and submit to finance within the required time framesSupervise team members and resolve minor conflicts and escalate major matters to HR and Head of OperationsEnsure that the team complies to Client rules and regulationsAssist with performance reviews of team membersMonitor team’s quality of works and report any variancesControl the resource cost of any assigned project as per project budgetPackage & RemunerationR Neg - Neg
