Systems Connect (an unincorporated Joint Venture between CPB Contractors and UGL Engineering) is delivering the Line-wide Works (LW Works) package Sydney Metro City & Southwest (SMCSW) project, which will extend Sydney Metro Northwest to the CBD and beyond to Bankstown.

SMCSW is being delivered through a suite of contracts for the tunnels, stations, line-wide infrastructure and systems.One of the key packages of work includes the fit out of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest tunnels and stations including provision of track, overhead wiring, HV reticulation, tunnel ventilation, fire services tunnel services.

We are recruiting both Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineers to join our M&E team to support the cable containment scope of work,The RoleReporting to the Senior PE, the Project Engineer will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the work allocated by the discipline lead.

The main responsibilities include, not limited to; - Create procurement schedules and creating consolidated requirement of materials.

Coordinating with multiple suppliers to get their stock levels and acquire the materials as required.Creating a logistics plan / Forecast of all the Bills of materials.

Constructability check for all the designs used for the tunnel cable containment.Knowledge of fire rating standards.Check and approve the Vendor designs upon coordinating with internal design team.

Budget forecast for the cable containment procurement.Optimise the design to reduce the cost of procurement and installation while meeting the design criteria.

Previous experience in large scale delivery projects and have experience to coordinate within a multidisciplinary projectExperience in procurement to ensure deliveries meet construction schedule requirements.
